Frequently Asked Questions
Can a strong, independent spouse still build a healthy partnership?
Yes. Capability is not the problem. Conflict develops when independence leaves no room for conversation, contribution, appreciation, or shared decision-making.
Why are specific requests important in marriage?
A clear request with a timeframe gives both spouses the same understanding of what is needed and when.
Should spouses thank each other for routine responsibilities?
Yes. Appreciation still matters even when a task is part of someone’s normal contribution to the household.

You goofball. Such a goofball. Hey y'all. What's up? What's up? We back cuz we are. We are. It is what it is. Okay. Anyway, uh yo, appreciate the love y'all.
This has been it's been pretty dope. Like the feedback, the comments. Uh we going to keep this thing going. I like it. I like it. um what you going to say? Uh please subscribe YouTube. Please, please, please. Yeah. Beautiful marriage.
B R U T I F U L. Yeah, you see it. Bam. Yeah, we them people now saying subscribe. I get why people say it. Yeah, but for real. Please do. Please do. Anyway, uh we'll jump right into this bad boy. Uh there's a term that gets tossed around that I personally I'm I'm not a fan of.
I don't hate it. I'm just not a fan of it because it alpha female just sounds I don't know. Oh, it just sounds so shout out to Kappa Alpha Sai. Not Alpha Fi Alpha as in Alpha Fi Alpha the fraternity. We talking about a take charge kind of chick. And and that's that is what you were. And the problem is when we first got married, you were a take charge. I'mma handle it. I got it. Oh, you not going to do it?
Bet. I'mma take care of it then if you're not going to do it. Like and it I don't know. I wasn't a fan of it. Okay. Well, I mean, I really don't know what to tell you about that because I don't think I really changed. No. No. No. No.
You definitely changed. You have changed. Okay. Well, I still get it done. You still get done, but it's more of a conversation. Like we talk about it more as opposed to you like just getting it done and and it comes with more um concise instructions for me. Like if you if you ask me to do something now as opposed to just letting it go into the ether and me being a guy, it's like, "Okay, I'll get it done. Get done." Now you putting more like, "Hey, hey babe, by the end of the day, can you Oh, got you. We're getting to the heart of the the issue." So, when we was first married, I used to be like, "Hey babe, um would you uh cut the grass?" We almost didn't make it over the grass, y'all. I am not lying about this grass.
Okay. um, so anyway, I had to learn to be very specific. Like, babe, would you cut the grass before the end of the week? um, will you cut the grass today? Uh, will you cut the grass before the sun sets? um, yes. So, I suppose that's the specificity you were talking about, right? Yes. Oh, yes. Because if he didn't do it, I definitely did.
I definitely cut the grass. And I don't mind cutting the grass. actually like doing yard work. It's kind of like cathartic and like I don't know woo although I am allergic to outside so there's that and still cutting the grass but you know it is what it is. But yeah I just I just wasn't a fan of them. I feel like it's okay for Okay. So you can be who you are in your relationship and do what needs to be done without trampling the other person. um, it's the same kind of underlying theme of of what we've been talking about. It's like you just got to learn how to say the stuff like and I was saying it I wasn't saying it nicely all the time. um, it was some, you know, like I mean on it was some it was it was sauce.
Um, I realized after a while a lot of very big failed attempts at getting that grass cut that maybe I need to try something different. um, and you know, then saying thank you. Real simple stuff. Like, how often do y'all thank y'all husbands for doing stuff that you feel like they supposed to do anyway? And it goes a long way. And husbands, how often do y'all thank y'all wives for doing stuff that y'all think they just supposed to do anyway? Vice versa. Yeah. Yeah. So, thank you goes a really long way.
And the way that you ask for something really makes a big difference. So, I mean, I feel like tone tone, which I have worked on. you Hey, you getting you have you are you. Yes, but tone. I'm proud of me, y'all. You should be. I'm I'm proud of you. Hell, I'm proud of you. But anyway, um yeah. um it's a it's it's just one of those things where um if you're not getting the desired result, uh oh, man, we got to have a $12.99 subscription and upgrade to Pro.
We out here ghetto anyway. Yeah. If you're not getting what you want out of it, you gota you got to just, you know, you got to change it up. You got to try something different. And a little humid humility goes a really really really long way. Agreed. Agreed. Talk to y'all next time, y'all. We see y'all. We got to get that fix.
Yeah, cuz it's Yeah. Just act like y'all ain't see. Bye. See y'all.
